Not sure what you'll need to prepare for the arrival of your new baby?  To properly care for your puppy or adult, you'll need to have some basic items ready for when he comes home.

Required Items for your puppy or dog's health, happiness, or safety:

Collar - needed for attaching your pet's identification tag, and for attaching the leash when walking or training;

Leash - necessary for walking your dog and/or keeping control;

ID Tag - absolutely essential for every pet;

Food Bowl - many varieties to choose from, we recommend a narrow bowl to keep those glorious ears clean!

Water Bowl - fresh water should be available at all times;

Food - a good supply of nutritious raw foods on hand;

Toys - appropriate toys keep your pet becoming bored, restless, or destructive;

Chew Items - we recommend recreational bones, i.e. soup bones, to satisfy your pet's natural need to chew;

Grooming Tools - a good brush and comb are a must for keeping the skin healthy and the coat shiny and mat-free;

Nail Clippers - your pet's nails will need to be tended to;

Bed - every pet should have a place to call his own;

Crate - if you are planning to travel, need to leave your pet alone, or when housetraining;

Fenced Area - your pet will need a safe place to play off leash.

Items that are highly recommended:

Stain and Odor Neutralizer - for quickly treating any accidents;

Treats - for training and rewards, or spoiling!

Auto Containment - needed if you plan to travel with your pet;

Dog Door - especially nice for a pet that has been trained to go outside, or just likes to spend time there;

Ear Cleaner -  here's a terrific recipe that kills ear mites and destroys any yeast buildup, an essential coupled with a raw diet keeps your pet's ears squeaky clean!

Shampoo and Conditioner - to keep your pet looking and smelling nice!

Pooper Scooper - do we need to explain this one?

Items suggested for special circumstances:

Puppy Pads - for both puppies and adult dogs that are being trained;

Bags for Picking Up Waste - for cleaning up anywhere you take your pet.  No one wants to dodge land mines so make sure to clean up after Baby!
